Made in Nigeria, for Nigeria

We built what WhatsApp couldn't

RSVPay was born from a very Nigerian frustration: the endless back-and-forth of chasing aso-ebi money, confirming bank alerts, and updating spreadsheets at midnight. We decided to fix it.

Our Story

It starts the same way every time. Someone is planning a wedding, a birthday, a send-forth. The group chat is buzzing. Then comes the dreaded ask: "Who has paid? Who hasn't? Did you see my alert?" The organiser becomes an unpaid accountant, cross-referencing screenshots, chasing duplicates, and hoping no one fakes a teller.

We've all been that organiser. Or we've watched someone we love become one. The tools didn't exist for Nigerian events, not in a way that was simple, affordable, and actually worked for Nigerian events.

So we built RSVPay: a dedicated payment page for event organisers where guests pay securely online, payments are confirmed instantly, and funds land directly in the organiser's bank account at checkout. No chasing, no spreadsheets, no stress.

What we stand for

Three principles guide every decision we make.

Trust first

Every naira collected is cryptographically verified via signed webhooks. Fake bank alerts don't get through. Organisers only see what has actually cleared.

Radical simplicity

If your aunty can share a WhatsApp link, she can use RSVPay. No app downloads, no sign-ups for guests. Just a link, a transfer, and a confirmation.

Built for community

Nigerian celebrations are communal by nature. Our platform is designed around this: supporting group collections, multiple packages, and real-time contribution tracking for everyone involved.

Our mission

“To make collecting event payments as easy as sharing a link, so organisers can focus on the celebration, not the accounting.”
